Take a sewing vacation!  You’ll share camaraderie with other sewers from all walks of life — from surgeons to CEOs to fabric store owners, homemakers to dressmakers, attorneys, farmers, and teachers — all while you are taught expert sewing techniques and the tissue-fitting method of pattern fitting.

You will be guided by the qualified Palmer/Pletsch sewing teaching team.

We have been teaching sewing and fitting sewing patterns for over 35 years, focusing on quality garments sewn with limited time. We have worked with and influenced major pattern companies, bringing our message to you along with our fashion sewing books and Learn How to Sew DVDs. We want to PERSONALLY share our sewing knowledge with you in these workshops. AND, we learn from you as well, hopefully making us better teachers. Workshops are taught in five locations across the United States.

The tissue fitting workshop reframed how I perceive my body shape. Rather than thinking “I’m too long here, or too short here” or this or that or something else “not enough”, learning the tissue fitting method broke it down into just shapes and bumps and lines. No more judgment or criticism. The method honors each body shape as unique and can absolutely be fitted perfectly in a flattering garment.
 
The expertise shared in the workshop was exceptional and inspiring. I have become a Palmer/Pletsch tissue fitting evangelist to people, sewists or not.

Connecticut workshops are taught by Palmer/Pletsch Certified Sewing Instructor Pamela Leggett, in beautiful Vernon, Connecticut at Pamela’s Patterns Fashion Sewing & Fitting Studio.
