McCall’s 7760 MW Retro Drape Front Blouse/Jacket
$11.95
This is a vintage 1980s Palmer/Pletsch blouse pattern that Melissa decided to bring back to life! The original pattern had velcro shoulder pads, which she decided to leave out. She snagged this top from her mom’s archives and loved wearing it. It’s perfect over a dress as a little lightweight jacket or as a top left open over a cami with jeans. Melissa’s addition of the little loop and buttons and the sleeveless version is to wear as a top alone for those warmer weather climates.
This top is perfect for a sheer or lightweight woven. I love a silk or poly chiffon or crepe de chine, or a crepe back satin for something with more weight. I wouldn’t use anything stiffer than that!
