Butterick B7026 – Misses’ Jacket

This fashion-forward knit jacket is sure to be a favorite in your wardrobe! It features a shawl collar, princess seams, shaped front opening, extra-long sleeves with a slit, with or without pockets and buttons, and optional shoulder pads. As a versatile design, you can dress it up with slacks or down with jeans. Make this jacket your own by including or omitting the pockets and buttons, topstitching with contrasting thread and changing the length of the sleeve if you would prefer a standard length. Tammie recommends sewing the jacket with a more stable knit like a ponte. Ponte knits are easy to sew, will maintain their shape, drape beautifully on the body and are comfortable to wear.
