Beginning
Sewing
Teacher Training
Workshop
FOUR-DAY WORKSHOPS
Learn
to teach four levels of beginning sewing by pretending to be a beginner
and making the notebook samples and four garment projects that you will
be teaching. Class includes business basics such as how to market your
classes, including camera-ready originals for you to reproduce. Teachers
completing this course are having a very HIGH success rate in filling
classes and in teaching.

Because beginning sewing is not being taught in
most schools today, there is a need for beginning sewing teachers. Come
train with Palmer/Pletsch. You will BE a beginner for the first four
days as Janet Corzatt takes you through one four- or five-week level per
day.
The course includes making samples of all
important sewing techniques for a notebook as well as a butcher
apron, kimono robe, shirt-style pajama top, and pull-on pants using
the new patterns developed just for making teaching easier.
You will receive camera-ready originals for teaching all four levels
of beginning sewing.
You will also be given one each of our new "Learn to Sew" patterns,
which will make teaching Beginning Sewing easier. Over two years
were spent testing the guides. You may purchase the patterns
wholesale to use in your classes, including them in the price of the
classes or as a kit fee.
This workshop will ensure that you know the basics
of fashion sewing. In addition, teaching techniques, business guidance,
and marketing ideas will be part of the lunchtime discussions.

Optional Makeover/Photo Session:
Get a professional photo of yourself to use
on posters, flyers, or with press releases announcing your
business. The Image Makeover & Photo Session is the day
before the workshop and costs $85. Ethel Harms,a top image
consultant, will do your hair and makeup for the photo. We will
dress and/or accessorize you if necessary. We meet at Pati's
home in her photography studio. You get all the photos on a CD
so you can print them on flyers or wherever you want to. You can
also use them with press releases.
If desired, you can also
sign up with Ethel Harms (eharms@msn.com)
to have your colors done during the photo session. She will
deliver your palette to the store and show you how to shop with
it. (Need a min. of 2 people.)
