Liquid Wash-Away Fabric Stabilizer

Perfect Sew Spray Stabilizer 250 ml (8.5 oz.) $11.95

Perfect Sew Refill 1000 ml   (31oz.) $24.95

Perfect Sew penetrates fabric to stiffen it for a multitude of sewing projects, including machine embroidery.

It is the only patented water-soluble product for penetrating fabric to stiffen it for sewing.

Use this Australian product for perfect stitches & no puckering on machine embroidery, appliqués, patchwork, heirloom sewing, rolled edge serging & more. It stabilizes even the sheerest and stretchiest of fabrics. Non-toxic, non allergenic & environmentally safe.

How to use Perfect Sew:

Place fabric on a laminate (non-porous) surface.
Shake bottle well before use.
Spray on Perfect Sew until fabric is saturated.
Or spread it on with your hands or a paintbrush if you have the refill bottle and no sprayer.

Let Perfect Sew dry. You can use a hair dryer to speed up the process. Iron the fabric with a DRY iron just before sewing to remove any atmospheric moisture and get the maximum stiffness.

Sew when the fabric is dry and has a firm, paper-like feel.

After embroidering or sewing, rinse out the Perfect Sew with warm running water or, if appropriate for your fabric, toss the pieces into the washing machine with warm water and a gentle cycle.  Machine dry or dry over a towel rack or plastic hangar.

Always use a new fine needle when embroidering.  If cutting fibers is a problem, sew more slowly to allow fibers a chance to be pushed out of the way by the needle.  Do a test sample on fine fabrics first.

Perfect Sew may also be used as a temporary adhesive to join fabrics for appliquéing, hemming, and sewing bias seams. Apply extra Perfect Sew to the already-treated and dried fabric just before joining. Then fold or place the fabric(s) in position and join instantly with a hot iron.
